What is happening in 2026? Plans are underway! Follow along with our RTA Fest Facebook Page as more details are released.
When does the 2026 RTA Fest take place? August 6 - August 9, 2026. RTA is an annual festival the second weekend in August each year.
Does RTA cost money to participate in events? No, all activities are free minus the beer fest and the Mighty Muskingum River Raft Race! There may be a cost at participating restaurants holding special events.
Where do RTA activities take place? Most activities will start from the Headquarters (HQ) located @ East Muskingum Park (310 Front Street, Marietta, OH). Other activities such as the Veto Lake Paddle or Historic Muskingum River Paddle will take place at their respective locations. Please see each event for location details. Festival Attendees can still listen to the live music during the beer festival, there are not restricted areas.
What’s available at the HQ? HQ will include merchandise, festival programs, route cards, gnome hike coloring sheets, the bike scavenger hunt clue and map, and other RTA material. RTA Reps will be available to answer questions!
How do people get from put in to take out for the paddle events? An unofficial Facebook group called RTA Paddle Network has formed by participant community for helping discuss paddle and return transport.
Do I need my own bike or kayak? Most events rely on participants transporting their own equipment, unless specified in the event. At least one events has a first come first use kayak to enable participation for those without a boat.
Where can I rent a Bike or Kayak? There are a few organizations that rent or load bikes and kayaks in Marietta. Check out the resources from Bike Marietta, the local Marietta Rowing and Cycling Club, Marietta Adventure Company’s Bike and Kayak rentals, and Wild Rivers Kayak Co. If you have other resources for rentals to enable participation in RTA please contact us so we can add them.
